This drive starts on the scenic loop through the western unit of Saguaro National Park, then follows several local roads towards Ironwood Forest National Monument. It ends at a very frustrating surprise: Sasco Road is routinely flooded by the Santa Cruz River, and impassable. If you come this way in a low-clearance car, you’ll need to turn around and go all the way back the way you came.
