Mount Airy, North Carolina to Fancy Gap & Hillsville, Virginia
This drive takes you along US 52 through a beautiful rural stretch of North Carolina and Virginia. The drive begins in Mount Airy, the town that has adopted Andy Griffith’s Mayberry, and heads north on US 52 into Virginia, stopping at Hillsville, Virginia during the Labor Day weekend flea market, then returns southbound to Fancy Gap, where US 52 crosses the Blue Ridge Parkway.
