California 4 over Ebbetts Pass, Westbound: Dashcam
California Highway 4 is pretty amazing. As it crosses the Sierra Nevada, it’s reduced to one lane — with no center stripe — and traffic from both directions must share the road. It also passes by some amazing scenery as it skirts the tops of the mountains. This video shows the drive from California 89 (the east end of 4) to Big Trees State Park.

I made this trip in June 2018. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras – one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).
