West Virginia Turnpike, Bluefield to Charleston, I-77 & 64
Here’s a look at the curvy, winding drive through southern West Virginia. The drive starts in the Bluefield area, at East River Mountain (the WV/VA state line). It continues north on I-77 to the junction with I-64, then on to Tamarack in Beckley. Then, I continued north on the West Virginia Turnpike into the state capitol at Charleston. The raindrops come and go, but hey, this is West Virginia.

I made this trip in August-September 2017. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras – one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).
