State Road 60 across Florida: Bartow, Yeehaw Junction, Vero Beach
Here’s a look at the drive across Florida on State Road 60. This drive begins in the Bartow area at the intersection of SR 60 and US Highway 98. I followed State Road 60 across the state, from Bartow, through Lake Wales, Yeehaw Junction, and on to the outskirts of Vero Beach on the east coast, where State Road 60 meets Interstate 95.
The drive on State Road 60 across Florida from Bartow to Vero Beach is mostly two-lane, and passes through some very rural areas. I hit some rain showers, which pop up commonly in Florida, but that was the only thing to slow me down on the drive.
