A drive around Gary, Indiana
I’ve heard some people say you should never drive through Gary, Indiana. And some say if you do, don’t even bother stopping at the red lights, because you’ll get jacked. I didn’t listen to them, and even stopped to walk around a little in a few places. I didn’t know what to expect from Gary, and I didn’t have any particular destination in mind, so my route is pretty random — but it does include the Jackson 5 House, where Michael Jackson and his siblings lived while growing up. And then, I just drove around, past crumbling buildings and abandoned schools and so much trash, everywhere. Yeah, it was scary in some places. And maybe I shouldn’t have been there. But it was quite an adventure. I hope you enjoy driving around and seeing a little bit of it.
